This weekend our community lost two wonderful young people. Ariel and Alex were highschool sweethearts and were on their way home to visit their moms for Mother’s day this week. They never made it home. Please take the time to pray for their families in their time of loss. I cannot imagine losing a child. And these two families lost so much this week.
Ariel was such a beautiful and kind young lady. No matter if you were a friend or you just met, she treated you with kindness and love.
Isaiah 40:18-31
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. For most of you that know me, you know that education is so so important to us. Not only for molding your profession. Professional Photographers go to school, executives go to school, and Teachers go to school. In order to be a professional we ALL have to go to school. This is how we provide either an awesome product or service to someone who has come to us and is relying on us to do just that.
For years we have complained that our school district does not bring in enough money to support programs and teachers that teach our children every day. For years we know we have run short of funding for those essential programs for our children. In the six years we have been in this school district we have seen HUGE growth for programs and teachers. In 2005 our district held an Override Election to raise money to support activities and programs for our children. This March we are doing it again. The district is asking for a continuation of this Override to continue to fund essential programs such as all day kindergarten, art and music.

So it would seem that I have abandoned my blog! But I promise I have not! We have been on vacation and when I thought the 4th of January was going to give me enough time to get caught up, boy was I wrong! I got to meet a lot of great people during Christmas break and after! We got to spend time with family and friends and recharge a little. Although I did not take off as much time as I was hoping we did have fun! Next year, I will take more time off! December was a great time for us both in family AND business.
So, I would have posted last week, but I have been having trouble getting onto my blog, so I wanted to at least post tonight because I COULD!
Have you noticed our website? Yup, that is right! Time to market our new status! We are celebrating Amy Jamieson Photography becoming one of 3% of the elite photographers in the United States to attain Certified Professional Photographer status.
